Ms. Geraldine has a passion for music, and this comes across in the lessons she teaches all. Many years ago in rural North Carolina, Mrs. Pearson was my middle school vocal music teacher. At that time, and especially with the passage of decades, I came to know her as a tremendously gifted musician, a highly effective instructor, and a most intuitive and caring role model.

I was a School Counselor for students with Special Needs for over 15 years before this “ugly disease,” Parkinson’s, interrupted my life. Taking piano lessons with Ms. G has helped me in numerous ways:

- Focus on the position of my fingers

- To strengthen my finger dexterity & increase my fine motor skills

- To learn the white notes on the entire keyboard  “quicker than if I had not been introduced to FACES.”

I was hesitant to go with the way music was initially written because I had NOT learned all the keys yet. Additionally, it helps me to relax, get my mind off this “ugly illness” and gives me a “Purpose” AGAIN!
