Geraldine graduated from ECSU with a BS Degree in Music Education and received her first job as Music Supervisor for Hertford County Public Schools in North Carolina.
After Patrick H. Tyrance, Sr., graduated from college, he was hired by Western Electric as a Supervisor. He was always a very caring, loving, focused, supportive husband and father.
Together Patrick and Geraldine (married 46 years) had two children: Patrick H. Tyrance, Jr, ”F3,” Chinita Tyrance “F4,” four grandchildren: Patrick III, Terrell, TyIsha and Jordan; Patrick & Geraldine also have four great-grandchildren, Kyalinn, Justine, Terrell Jr. and Mariah.
Patrick and Geraldine were one of several family members who graduated from Elizabeth City State. During the early 1950’s Mrs. Annie Stephenson-Vaughan “F6,” Geraldine’s mother also graduated from ECS Normal School.
The Acronym for Tyrance International Music, LLC is TIM which is the abbreviation for Timothy, a Greek name Timotheos which means “to honor God,” “to praise God” or “honored by God.”
The GOAL of TIM, LLC is to share this simplified GOD-given Concept so that people around the world can start learning music, their family genealogy and connecting to God at a very young age (research shows that introducing a child to music as early as 6 months - 3 years is appropriate).
Also, while God's people are learning the F A C E notes, the white notes in the middle of these notes are G B D = "Good Boy Danny." Danny means "God is our Judge!" In essence, the white keys on the keyboard repeatedly tells each family member that, we all need to prepare ourselves to one day (FACE, GBD) face GOD who is our Judge!
God spoke this Concept to Geraldine in Flanagan HS’s Piano Classroom in ’94. The faces concept also helps students quickly understand musical notation on "any" instrument!
What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!!
It is with great honor and reverence that we acknowledge the profound influence of Reverend E. J. Vaughan, a figure whose legacy continues to resonate through the generations. Reverend Vaughan was not only a spiritual leader but also a beacon of inspiration to all who knew him, particularly in his deep love for music. His passion for the art form transcended mere appreciation; it became a ministry of its own, touching the lives of those around him with a divine sense of purpose.
One of the lives most deeply impacted by Reverend Vaughan’s influence was that of Geraldine Vaughan Tyrance Pearson. It was through his encouragement, guidance, and unwavering belief in the transformative power of music that Geraldine began her journey into the world of music. Reverend Vaughan instilled in her a love for music that would shape her life, leading her to become a devoted student and later, a talented musician herself. His teachings went beyond technical instruction, fostering a spiritual connection to music as a form of worship, self-expression, and community.
Though Reverend Vaughan has since passed, his spirit endures in every note played by those he inspired, most notably Geraldine. His legacy serves as a reminder of the lasting impact one can have through the gift of mentorship and the love of music.
May his memory continue to inspire us all to pursue our passions with the same dedication and heart he showed throughout his life.
Patrick H. Tyrance, Sr. ”F2” was born in Jacksonville, NC to Dewey and Christie B. Tyrance in 1946; he has one sister, Carlous Tyrance. Patrick's work ethic and conscientiousness while at Elizabeth City State University was outstanding.
During the summer of 1967, Geraldine and Patrick married and were blessed with two children, Dr. Patrick Jr, Chinita Tyrance-Clark. The family lived in Omaha, NE for 30 years.
Unfortunately, Patrick passed in 2013, in Charlotte, North Carolina from Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Even though a HUGE disruption in the musical and spiritual flow of THE FAMILY was created when Papa T was called home to rest on Aug 31st 2013, we must re-commit to fulfill The Dream with the goal of bringing honor to GOD first of all and also to Papa T (Patrick Tyrance, Sr.).
This faces® new edition teacher's Manual and its re-release ... is in Patrick Sr.'s honor . . .
